How we are handling COVID-19

Sankalpa Preschool + Kindergarten

​

• Pick up + drop off procedures have been implemented to ensure the separation of classes + cohorts. 

• Separate entrances, classrooms, and washrooms ensure that groups remain separated.

• Parents drop off children at their designated entrance to avoid entering the space. Parents are encouraged to speak with educators outside the building. If entry is required, parents must wear a mask at all times, use provided hand sanitizer and their temperature will be taken and recorded for contact tracing purposes.

• Physically distanced walking practices and outdoor supervision.

• Maximum time spent outdoors, learning + exploring in nature.

• Frequent disinfection of high-touch surfaces.

• Cleaning practices as outlined by AHS.

• Children have individual cubbies for storage of their belongings - these cubbies are sanitized after every class.

• Each student has their own “mini mat” which they will use for the duration of the school year. Mats are disinfected after every class and stored appropriately.

• We have placed stickers on the floors throughout the studio to allow for physical distancing when preparing to go outside/ lining up for the bathroom and navigating the space.

• Activity stations will be distanced and toys/ materials will be disinfected between classes.

• Strict no-sharing policy for food and no belongings brought from home.

• Children DO NOT need to wear a mask whilst indoors. Teachers & staff members are required to wear a mask indoors so that they are able to safely assist children. Please note that if you would like to encourage your child to wear a mask whilst at preschool, we support you and can help to ensure this happens.

• Children who are displaying signs or symptoms will be sent home immediately. If the child has one symptom, 24 hours isolation is required. If a second symptom develops within the 24 hour time period, children must isolate for the full two weeks before returning to school (unless a negative COVID test is obtained and symptoms resolve).

• School missed due to illness is non-refundable and non-transferable.

• Children who have been in contact with, or who’s immediate family members have been exposed or in contact with an individual with COVID-19 are required to self-isolate following government guidelines.

• Children who have travelled outside of Canada must isolate for 14 days before returning to preschool.

Camps

​​

• If a camp is full, you can join the waitlist to be notified if a space opens up.

• Each camper will have their own individual resources for crafts + creating.

• We will be spending as much time as possible outdoors - the safest place for all of us!

• Full weeks of camp only- we are not offering drop-in days. 

• Prior to your kiddo's camp start date, we will email you a digital Parent Package with everything that you need to keep in mind before coming into the studio.

• At this time, Wymbin campers over the age of 5 are required to wear a mask indoors until they arrive at their mat. All staff must wear masks indoors at all times.

• In the event that a camp you have registered for is cancelled due to COVID-19, you will receive a FULL REFUND.

Teacher Training

• If in-person training is unable to occur, we will offer registrants the ability to reschedule their training to a later date.

• Please note that Teacher Training deposits are non-refundable. You are able to transfer your deposit to a training at a later date, but you must provide a minimum of 2 weeks notice.

Classes + Workshops

​

• Classes are resuming November 2021 at our Inglewood Studio.

• No drop-in classes will be offered, registered programs only.

• Children & Adults 12 years of age and over must provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test that has been taken within the last 72 hours prior to attending class.

• In the event that a class is cancelled due to COVID, a full refund will be provided. 

• Children and Adults ages 5 and up must wear a mask in studio until you arrive on your yoga mat. 

• Children under the age of 5 do not need to wear a mask, however we support families if you would like to. 

• Yoga mat rental will be provided free of charge and mats will be sanitized between each use. 

• Please continue to allow for physical distancing in-studio and respect others space. 

• Account credit has been given to any client who had pre-registered for a class or workshop that was cancelled due to COVID-19 in 2020.

Birthday Parties

​

• Account credit or rescheduling of your birthday party booking is available if your booking was cancelled due to COVID-19. 

• At this time, we are unable to accommodate birthday parties in our physical space, or off-site.

School + Off-Site Programs

​

• Please refer to our Mind + Move Program to view comprehensive mindfulness + movement programs for your school.

• At this time, we are accepting bookings for the 2021/ 2022 School Year. Please contact hello@wymbinyoga.com.

• Funding opportunities are available.

• Bookings can be moved and no penalty/ charge is acquired for bookings that need to be rescheduled or postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions.
