Mount Royal University Students

We are working closely with third-year Bachelor of Child Studies students from Mount Royal University’s Leadership Practicum, working together to organize the Move for Mental Health event.

"As passionate advocates for mental health awareness, we are committed to creating a space where children, youth, and the community can come together to learn, connect, and support mental well-being through movement and education. This event is the result of our dedication to fostering positive change and making mental health resources more accessible to all. We decided to work with Wymbin because we felt that this practicum project would give us the opportunity to strengthen our existing skills and knowledge on mental health while exploring new ways to navigate conversations with children and families. We are excited to connect with the community and surrounding areas, drawing on Calgary’s strengths, supports, and resources. As a team, we are passionate about the connection between physical activity and mental wellness and are eager to continue our learning journey. We hope that Wymbin will continue to host this event with practicum students in the future, helping to shine a light on the importance of mental health and the wide range of supports and resources available in Calgary."
