Expression through creative literacy and dramatic play

Starts Jul 20

Banff Trail Community Centre (Camp Wymbin)

Service Description

Once Upon a Summer is a joyful literacy-based camp where stories leap off the page and into play. Through beloved books, imaginative themes, and hands-on creativity, children build reading and language skills while acting, creating, and dreaming big. Campers read, write, perform, and invent—bringing characters to life, designing props, and crafting their own stories along the way. Literacy is woven seamlessly into dramatic play, art, and movement, helping kids grow confidence while falling in love with storytelling. A magical week for young readers, writers, and dreamers—where imagination leads the adventure and every child becomes the hero of their own tale. Ages: 5-10 Location: Banff Trail Community Centre
