Growing, Tending, Becoming

Starts Aug 10

Capitol Hill Community Centre (Camp Wymbin)

Service Description

Grow Wild is a gentle, hands-on nature camp where children connect with the earth through planting, caring, and slowing down. Campers dig into soil, plant seeds, explore worms and compost, and learn how sunlight, water, and time help living things grow. Through gardening, journaling, nature art, and sensory exploration, children practice observation, patience, and responsibility while developing a deeper understanding of where food comes from and how ecosystems work. Daily care routines help build confidence and pride as kids tend to their growing plants. Each day also includes calming mindfulness moments—outdoor meditation, listening to the sounds of nature, and simple yoga inspired by trees, wind, and forest floors—supporting regulation, focus, and connection. Grow Wild is perfect for kids who love being outside, getting their hands dirty, and discovering how growing something small can help them grow too. Ages: 5-10 Location: Capitol Hill Community Centre
